The Universal Robots UR10e is a 6-axis collaborative robot arm (cobot) with a 12.5 kg payload capacity and 1300 mm reach. Part of the e-Series lineup, it features integrated force/torque sensing at all joints, a built-in PolyScope touchscreen controller, and 17 configurable safety functions certified to EN ISO 13849-1 PLd Category 3. With an IP54 rating and repeatability of ±0.05 mm, it is widely deployed in industrial and research settings for tasks such as assembly, machine tending, palletizing, screwdriving, and quality inspection. It has been superseded by the UR12e as of 2025 but remains commercially available.

ESAB introduced ROBBI AI, a cobot welding system that uses physical AI with camera and laser sensing to evaluate joint fit-up, generate weld paths without manual teaching, and adapt welding motion and process parameters in real time during MIG and TIG welding. The system is built around Universal Robots UR10e and UR 20e arms with ESAB/EWM power sources (Titan XQ, Tetrix XQ, Aristo Edge 500R), performs its AI processing locally on-premises, and learns from completed welds and video to recognize defect-prone conditions. It targets low-volume, high-mix and hard-to-automate work such as TIG welding and pipe fabrication for data centers and infrastructure.
ESAB introduced ROBBI AI™, a collaborative robot system that applies physical AI to MIG and TIG welding, using camera and laser sensing to generate weld paths and adapt motion and process parameters in real time to varying joint fit-up. The system works with EWM Titan XQ, EWM Tetrix XQ or Aristo Edge power sources on a Universal Robots UR10e or UR 20e arm, runs AI processing locally on-site, learns from weld data and video, and is aimed at low-volume, high-mix jobs such as pipe fabrication and TIG welding where skilled labor is scarce. The announcement is a product launch press release and includes no funding details.
Teradyne Robotics and Sereact formed a partnership combining Sereact's Cortex physical AI platform with Universal Robots collaborative arms for unstructured retail, logistics and manufacturing tasks. Hundreds of UR robots in dual-arm systems have been shipped to customer sites, including Zalando locations in Germany and Poland where they autonomously process returned fashion items. At Nvidia GTC Berlin 2026, the companies demonstrated Cortex running on two UR12e-1300 robots using Nvidia's simulation, training and edge-computing technologies.
