At IROS 2026 in Pittsburgh, Sharpa launched its new-generation dexterous hand W02, reducing active degrees of freedom from 22 to 21 by eliminating the little finger root CMC joint, while shrinking size by ~30% and expanding tactile coverage to fingers and palm. Alongside the W02, Sharpa introduced the D01 general-purpose humanoid robot and AE01 exoskeleton data glove, framing dexterous manipulation as a system-level challenge spanning perception, control, and skill acquisition rather than isolated component optimization.
Teradyne Robotics has filed a patent infringement lawsuit against JAKA's German subsidiary with the Unified Patent Court in Copenhagen, alleging that JAKA copied hardware and software in its collaborative robots. This is Teradyne's second major IP case against a Chinese robotics company in Europe this year, following a copyright lawsuit against Elite Robots in February.
Teradyne Robotics and Sereact formed a partnership combining Sereact's Cortex physical AI platform with Universal Robots collaborative arms for unstructured retail, logistics and manufacturing tasks. Hundreds of UR robots in dual-arm systems have been shipped to customer sites, including Zalando locations in Germany and Poland where they autonomously process returned fashion items. At Nvidia GTC Berlin 2026, the companies demonstrated Cortex running on two UR12e-1300 robots using Nvidia's simulation, training and edge-computing technologies.
