Teradyne Robotics has filed a patent infringement lawsuit against JAKA's German subsidiary with the Unified Patent Court in Copenhagen, alleging that JAKA copied hardware and software in its collaborative robots. This is Teradyne's second major IP case against a Chinese robotics company in Europe this year, following a copyright lawsuit against Elite Robots in February.
Teradyne Robotics reported $100 million in Q2 2026 revenue, representing 33% year-over-year growth from the $75 million it made in Q2 2025. The company attributes the growth to AI-driven demand across all three business groups—Semiconductor Test, Product Test, and Robotics—with AI-related revenue comprising more than 60% of total revenue.
Teradyne Robotics and Sereact formed a partnership combining Sereact's Cortex physical AI platform with Universal Robots collaborative arms for unstructured retail, logistics and manufacturing tasks. Hundreds of UR robots in dual-arm systems have been shipped to customer sites, including Zalando locations in Germany and Poland where they autonomously process returned fashion items. At Nvidia GTC Berlin 2026, the companies demonstrated Cortex running on two UR12e-1300 robots using Nvidia's simulation, training and edge-computing technologies.
