More than 1,800 teams from 13 countries registered, but qualifying submissions remain under review. Final tasks, scoring criteria, robot and training-data access, baseline comparisons, and publication of results have not yet been finalized.

Meanwhile, Beijing hosted the 2026 World Robot Conference and opened the second World Humanoid Robot Games with over 2,000 robots from 16 countries, while BYD's Xiao Di humanoid appeared as a working showroom unit with no price or order route. Despite the market excitement, none of these developments changed the purchasing options for US or European buyers, with only 13 humanoids currently purchasable and zero FCC Conditional Approvals granted.
Robbyant unveils LingBot-VLA 2.0 universal AI model for embodied robots
Robbyant, an embodied AI company within Ant Group, has announced the upgrade and open-source release of LingBot-VLA 2.0, a next-generation vision-language-action model for robotics pre-trained on 60,000 hours of real-world physical data from 20 robot morphologies. The model demonstrates superior cross-morphology generalization, outperforming π0.5 and GR00T N1.7 on dual-arm manipulation benchmarks and achieving 3x inference efficiency improvement with latency under 150ms. Robbyant is currently conducting commercial pilots with hardware partners Leju and Ti5Robot, as well as enterprise customers GuoDa Drugstore and Longsheng Technology in retail, logistics, and industrial environments.
