Malaysian robotics firm MR. ROBOT (a subsidiary of MR.DIY) and gig workforce platform TROOPERS have signed an MoU to explore collecting real-world training data for humanoid robots and embodied AI. TROOPERS will coordinate frontline workplaces to capture first-person egocentric task recordings, which will complement the robot-generated data from 20 AgiBot G2 humanoid robots running at MR. ROBOT's Data Collection Centre. The combined human and robot data streams will be managed via MR. ROBOT's Data-as-a-Service (DaaS) model to develop AI models for commercial humanoid robot deployment.
IDC data shows AGIBOT led global humanoid robot shipments in H1 2026, shipping more than 8,600 units—approximately 35% of global shipments of nearly 25,000 units (up 432.1% YoY). The article highlights AGIBOT's milestone of 20,000 cumulative robots produced by September 2026, along with large-scale deployments at Chimelong Spaceship Park (300+ robots) and ASD retail stores (100 AGIBOT X2 units).
T-Robotics has been selected to lead a KRW 4.5 billion government-backed project under KEIT's humanoid robot AI transformation program, partnering with KAIST and an unnamed major Korean display manufacturer through December 2030. The project will build on T-Robotics' existing TR-WORKS humanoid platform to develop mobile humanoids for display process logistics, with progressive trial deployment at the manufacturer's production lines. The article emphasizes this is a development and validation effort, not a commercial fleet deployment.
