EVE is a wheeled humanoid torso robot developed by 1X Technologies (formerly Halodi Robotics) in Norway. Standing approximately 160cm tall on a wheeled base with 16 degrees of freedom and up to 8 hours of battery life, EVE features soft actuators for safe human interaction. It has been commercially deployed since 2022 in security and service roles, including in Andoya, Norway. EVE was 1X's pioneering commercial platform and predecessor to the bipedal Neo Beta and NEO Gamma robots, targeting logistics, security, and facility management applications.

Wandercraft has secured 12 enterprise customers for its Calvin-40 industrial humanoid robot, expanding beyond its initial automotive base into logistics, retail, defense, and healthcare sectors. The Paris-based company is simultaneously working with Goldman Sachs to raise approximately €100 million ($116 million) at a €750 million valuation to scale production. The company leverages its decade-long experience in medical exoskeletons (Atalante X and Eve) to offer heavy-payload material handling capabilities in industrial environments.
Wandercraft, a Parisian robotics firm, is seeking approximately €100 million ($116 million) in new equity funding with Goldman Sachs, targeting a pre-money valuation near €750 million. The funding will support the commercial expansion of its medical exoskeletons and the manufacturing ramp-up of the Calvin industrial humanoid platform, which already has committed deployment plans from Renault (350 units) and SAPA. This raise highlights a broader financing wave sweeping Europe's robotics ecosystem as automakers race to automate factory floors.
Masayoshi Son's SoftBank Group is in talks to acquire a majority stake in 1X Technologies at a valuation of 6 billion US dollars, marking SoftBank's return to the humanoid robot sector after selling Boston Dynamics. 1X's flagship product NEO is a bipedal household robot priced at $20,000 with a monthly subscription, designed to operate safely alongside families.
