Skild AI is a Pittsburgh-based robotics AI company founded in 2023 by Deepak Pathak (CEO) and Abhinav Gupta (President), both faculty members at Carnegie Mellon University. The company develops the Skild Brain, the first unified robotics foundation model designed to control any robot without prior knowledge of its exact body form, including quadrupeds, humanoids, tabletop arms, and mobile manipulators. Skild AI has raised $2.21 billion in total funding, including a $1.4 billion round in March 2026 valuing the company at $15 billion, with investors including Lightspeed Venture Partners, Coatue, and SoftBank.
