Bimanual robots are robotic systems equipped with two arms for coordinated dual-arm manipulation tasks. They can perform complex operations requiring both arms simultaneously, such as assembly, grasping and manipulating objects, and tasks that require coordination between limbs. Common platforms include Franka FR3 Duo, Unitree H1, and various humanoid robot configurations.

CJ Logistics has deployed two bimanual humanoid robots at its Olive Young fulfillment center in Yongin, Gyeonggi Province, marking its first humanoid-powered logistics operation. The robots are currently being used to place cushioning paper into shipping boxes, with plans to expand their roles to picking, sorting, inspection and packaging as the company develops all-purpose logistics robots using physical artificial intelligence.
CJ Logistics has deployed two bimanual humanoid robots at the Yangji Olive Young logistics center in Yongin for product packaging operations, marking the first time humanoid robots have been integrated into actual logistics operating processes beyond proof-of-concept demonstrations. The company plans to leverage accumulated work data for AI learning to improve task accuracy and responsiveness, gradually expanding applications to picking, sorting, inspection, and packaging, ultimately aiming for general-purpose logistics humanoid capabilities. CJ Logistics is collaborating with partners including Robotis (hardware), Aidin Robotics (robot hands), and RealWorldAI (RFM) to advance its AI humanoid ecosystem.
