Robotis has partnered with Nvidia to demonstrate real-world task capabilities for its open humanoid platform 'AI Sapiens' and announced plans to scale production to 10,000 units annually starting next year. At the Humanoid Summit Seoul 2026, Robotis showcased how it used Nvidia's Cosmos Transfer synthetic data technology to resolve a shadow misidentification problem, while Nvidia unveiled its Isaac GR00T 1.7 foundation model and roadmap for GR00T 2.
CJ Logistics has deployed two ROBOTIS AI Worker semi-humanoid robots into live fulfillment operations at the Olive Young distribution center in Yangji, South Korea, where they perform protective void-fill paper insertion alongside human coworkers on active customer order lines. The deployment is part of CJ Logistics' broader Physical AI strategy, utilizing a Robot Foundation Model trained on operational telematics mixed with synthetic simulation data to advance toward autonomous task execution across the fulfillment chain.
Robotis reported a 722.9% year-over-year surge in Q2 operating profit to 1.98 billion won (~$1.4 million), with revenue up 95.1% to 15.37 billion won (~$10.9 million), driven by explosive demand for humanoid robot actuators which accounted for 98% of total revenue. The company plans to launch its new Dynamixel-Q quasi-direct drive actuator and AI Sapiens full-body humanoid in H2, and will be the only South Korean company exhibiting at the 2026 World Robot Conference in Beijing.
