ALAISA (Aluminium AI Support Agent) is an AI-powered humanoid assistant deployed by Vedanta Aluminium at the BALCO (Bharat Aluminium Company) smelter complex in Chhattisgarh, India. It functions as an on-ground training, knowledge, and decision-support interface for shop-floor workers, delivering real-time guidance on Standard Operating Procedures, maintenance practices, and safety protocols using conversational AI integrated with plant-specific operational intelligence. It has already trained over 100 employees and represents India's first humanoid AI deployment in the metals sector.
