Germany’s Neura Robotics Launches Its Own A.I. Model for Robots

Neura Robotics has unveiled Neuron AI, its own perception-language-action (PLA) AI model for robots that processes 3D images, touch, force, sound, robot state, and language together to drive movements. The model is designed to work across all of Neura's robot form factors and is trained on data from Neura Gyms, simulations, and human motion-capture suits. Neura argues this reduces dependence on U.S. big-tech AI models, though the company has not yet published independent benchmark results.

Figure AI's former safety engineer says its home robot can fracture a skull

Figure AI's former product-safety engineer Robert Gruendel has filed a federal whistleblower and wrongful-termination suit alleging the company's F.02 humanoid robot produces impact forces more than 20 times the ISO 15066 human pain threshold and has gouged steel, while the firm simultaneously pushed toward home deployment. Gruendel says his safety roadmap was gutted the same month Figure closed its $39 billion-valuation Series C, and Figure disputes the allegations and has counterclaimed. The case, now in discovery, is among the first to test humanoid robot safety claims in court and highlights the absence of any consumer-safety certification regime for home humanoids.

Nvidia considers investing additional $1 billion in Figure AI

Nvidia is reportedly considering making an additional $1 billion investment in humanoid robotics startup Figure AI, though discussions remain unconfirmed and no deal terms have been disclosed. Nvidia previously joined Figure AI's Series C round in September 2025, which raised over $1 billion at a $39 billion post-money valuation, and the chipmaker also supplies technology for Figure's Helix AI models and robot deployments.
