ORCA Hand / Soft Robotics Lab (ETH Zürich)

The Soft Robotics Lab (SRL) at ETH Zurich, led by Prof. Robert Katzschmann, develops compliant robotic systems including the ORCA Hand, an open-source 17-DoF tendon-driven anthropomorphic robotic hand with integrated tactile sensors assemblable in under 8 hours for approximately $2,000. ORCA (Open-Source, Reliable, Cost-Effective, Anthropomorphic) is released under MIT and Creative Commons licenses to accelerate dexterous manipulation research.
