Midea Group is a Chinese technology corporation founded in 1968 and headquartered in Foshan, China, best known for its smart home appliances and consumer electronics. The company completed a $3.9 billion acquisition of German industrial robot maker KUKA in 2017, giving it a major foothold in robotics manufacturing. Midea has since expanded into humanoid robotics, developing the MIRO prototype humanoid robot as part of its broader automation strategy.
