KIMLAB (Kinetic Intelligent Machine LAB) is a robotics research group at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, led by Prof. Joohyung Kim, that develops humanoid and character-style robots with emphasis on locomotion, teleoperation, and physical AI. The lab has collaborated with the Toyota Research Institute and DGIST in South Korea on bipedal locomotion and whole-body control research. Its work contributes open algorithms and hardware designs that advance agile and expressive humanoid motion.
