iRobot Corporation is an American consumer robotics company headquartered in Bedford, Massachusetts, best known for the Roomba robotic vacuum cleaner. Amazon's proposed acquisition was blocked by EU antitrust regulators in January 2024, leaving iRobot independent; the company subsequently laid off approximately 31% of its workforce and its CEO resigned. iRobot continues to operate independently and is listed on NASDAQ (IRBT).
