SAIC Motor Robotics refers to the robotics initiatives of SAIC Motor Corp Ltd, China largest automaker, which has integrated humanoid robots into its manufacturing operations. In March 2026, SAIC-GM deployed the Nengzai No. 1 humanoid robot, jointly developed with AgiBot, on the Buick Electra E7 battery assembly line, marking the first humanoid robot deployment on a Chinese automotive mass production line. SAIC Motor is investing in embodied AI and humanoid robotics as a strategic extension of its EV-focused manufacturing expertise.
